Day Seventeen

On the seventeenth day we had decided to change our trebuchet to a catapult so that it would swing farther. But the fact of changing all the writing process from trebuchet to catapult. I did not want to go over every thing and change it so we kept it as a trebuchet and solved out our obstacles. We have no more situations to deal with all that left is the release mechanism. We just have the hole drilled in, we need a stick and some rope and i think we need 1 or 2 hooks

Day Sixteen

On the sixteenth day we had a lot of time to finish the base frame of the trebuchet. We had many problems trying to make it sling far and trying to follow the regulations but we got through it. We wanted to put a piece of wood onto the runway of the trebuchet but it wasn't allowed to be there if it was a trebuchet, only if it was a catapult.

Day Fifteenth

Fifteenth day we had to start building the trebuchet. We had to at least start building the frame of the whole thing. We just finished the sketch up design and we could start to construct. We also had to take many pictures on every thing we were doing. We had all day to construct the trebuchet, to finish up the sketch up and refine any last things

Crest Design

Day Fourteen

On the fourteenth day we had a chance to finish up the last details of our crest because they were due today. We have finish the crest. It has our name which is MAD VMA which is our fist letter of our last and first names. Mercado(M)Acosta(A)Diaz(D),Victoria(V)Myriam(M)Amanda(A).

Day Thirteen

Thirteenth day we had all day to finish up every thing that was due which is the sketch up and the the crest was due tomorrow, THE FINAL DESIGN!!!!!!!!
We still need to hurry up and finish the sketch up. We need it done so we can start building the trebuchet.

Day Twelve

Twelfth day we had all day to work on the trebuchet project we finished the crest and the sketch up. We still have not finished the design and we are very far behind with the sketch up design. Our sketch up designer needs some help. And no other groups have begun with the construction.

Day Eleven

On the eleventh day we worked on a warm up which helped us see how we would have to do our measurements when we start constructing. The warm up today was to find the vertex of a flying ball going 4.2 sec.
The answer was 2.1sec. Because the vertex is the highest point the ball will reach, which is half, which is 2.1 sec.
The other problem was to fin the vertex of the ball when its traveling at 84ft.
The answer was 42ft because its half of 84ft.

Day Ten

On the tenth day we didn't get to work on the project.

Day Nine

On the ninth day we had just got the due dates of when every thing was going to be
due. This is what and when every thing is due.

Day Eight

On the eighth day we still didn't have the chance to work on the trebuchet project.

Day Seven

On the seventh day we didn't have a chance to work on the project.

Day Six

On day six we had to work on the parade stuff so we didn't have time to use Google sketch today but we have time a home to do it their because to download it is free.

Day Five

On the fifth day which is Friday we started critiquing others blue prints o help them improve and have a very good catapult or trebuchet for the Festival Del Sol. That is coming up. The first person to show their blue prints was Sarah and hers was very well done she had very few mistakes and it was easy for her to fix the problems because we were very specific. The next person who shared was Micheal S. his was also very good and though he did not know that well about how the program Google sketched worked like we still understood what he was trying to interpret.

Day Four

On the fourth day we worked on our blue prints again so that on the fifth day which is Friday we would be criticizing our model designs. That was probably all we did today concerning the project.

Day Three

On the third day we worked on the Google sketch again because we wanted to get our blue prints ready for day five because that day we would be critiquing each others models to show it off on the Festival Del Sol.

Day two

Our second day we split into our groups then we decided what we would be doing for the trebuchet.
I am the group video person and the time manager
I’m glad I am the video person because I want to show everyone our hard work and the progress of how we made our trebuchet. I also like being the time manager because it gives us a chance to clean up on time and be ready to leave on time. The people in my group are Victoria and Myriam. Myriam is in charge of being the construction manager and Victoria is in charge of being the crest designer.

History

When making the trebuchet we first had to make the blue prints.
We used the program Google sketch. Which is a really good program. It works with getting the design and structure and makes it look very realist. If you go on my DP then if you click and the math section and then on the trebuchet project section then you click on the on trebuchet blue prints link. Then you can see the Google sketch trebuchet blue prints.

Day one

The first thing I did today was make a link on my DP to show the progress. That was very easy to do and now every one can see how well we are good at constructing things.
Then that day I looked up the history and pictures of trebuchets.
